About Red Beach
Red Beach is a suburb surrounding the beach of the same name on the Hibiscus Coast, Auckland, New Zealand, at the base of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula. The suburb of Silverdale is to the south-west, and Orewa to the north.
Red Beach is just south of Orewa with a bridge over a river between the two. It’s on the east coast, Hibiscus Coast, approximately 40km north of the centre of Auckland and 54km from the international airport. Part of the Whangaparaoa Bay coastline, Red Beach is located between two rivers, Orewa River and Weiti River, at the start of Whangaparaoa Peninsula.
An ideal location for short trips from Auckland and for international visitors. It’s nice and quiet, it’s not far from the City, and it’s near to Orewa which has plenty of shops, banks, restaurants, and a bit further north is Waiwera with its famous hot pools. The beach of Red Beach suburb itself is approx. 2km long, is sandy, and safe.
The Beach enclosed by stunning headlands with clinging pohutakawa. The stunning morning sunrise well worth the effort to get up early enough to enjoy it. The surf club at the North End, and the shallow bay makes for a magical spot to swim. Red Beach is the classic beach with postcard perfect looks
You will find Red Beach close enough to Auckland for it to be accessible but far enough away to feel like you’re a world away. This gorgeous seaside area has wonderful beaches, schools and medical facilities making it a great place to live or for a seaside break.
